The BBC has announced its line-up for the Children in Need night, and stand-outs include Kylie, The Spice Girls and a themed scene from Doctor Who.

The charity event will take place on BBC One on Friday, November 16, from 7pm.

Other highlights include performances by John Barrowman, Annie Lennox, Sugababes, Westlife and McFly.

Hotel Babylon will also present a themed scene, while EastEnders will chip in with a ‘musical extravaganza’ from the cast.

The Beeb also said the Children in Need event will include Junior Dragon’s Den and a Never Mind The Buzzcocks special, as Radio 1 take on Radio 2.

Lee Mead will appear with the cast of Joseph and there will be a performance from the West End stars of Dirty Dancing.

Host Terry Wogan said: “Last year was a record breaker and this year we are hoping the great British public will give us even more. We’ve certainly got a fantastic show line-up this year. I know I say that every year, but this year really is special!”

It will be the 28th appeal broadcast from the BBC TV Centre; last year £18million was raised on the night.
