Stacey Solomon has said she is excited by Sharon Osbourne’s return to The X Factor – saying she will ‘shake up’ the show.

Speaking to The Sun the singer and TV presenter – who reached the final of the 2009 series – said her strong personality would be an asset to the panel.

“I think Sharon coming back will be a really good shake-up as everyone knows how controversial she is” she said.

“There’ll be a few arguments and a difference of opinion. That’s enough to shake it up!”

Sharon is returning to the panel for the first time since the 2007 series – joining Nicole Scherzinger, Louis Walsh and Gary Barlow who are all back on board.

Stacey added that she would also love to see the judges from her time on the show make a comeback.

“I’d love to see all the judges when I did it come back because I think that was a really good format,” she admitted.

“I loved watching Dannii and Cheryl battle it out with the wardrobe each week.”

Auditions for the new series of The X Factor kicked off last month, with the show due to return in late summer.
