Andrew Castle is the favourite to waltz off Strictly Come Dancing this weekend, according to the bookies.

Paddy Power are offering odds of 6-4 on the GMTV host hanging up his dancing shoes for good, after surviving the dance-off last week.

Heather Small is second favourite at 2-1 – although her chances of staying on the show have improved slightly after impressing the judges with her Viennese Waltz last week. John Sergeant and Jodie Kidd are next in the betting.

Castle has revealed he will be performing on Saturday’s show despite injuring himself during rehearsals earlier this week.

The 44-year-old ended up on crutches after he came a cropper practising his samba – told The Sun, “I am mending and everything is going to be OK.

“But there was a little moment when I wasn’t OK. There is something wrong but I can live with it. I’ve got two legs so I can use the other one.”

Saturday’s Strictly will see each of the remaining 10 couples perform a different dance.

Meanwhile, pool cleaner Daniel Evans is favourite to leave The X Factor on Saturday night after narrowly escaping elimination last week.

The 38-year-old has odds of 1-2 to get the boot following Saturday’s disco-themed show, with Ruth Lorenzo second favourite to go at 4-1.
