Strictly Come Dancing fans have taken to social media to share their delight after spotting some surprise dancers in tonight's opening number.
Strictly Come Dancing fans were treated to a rare moment at the start of tonight’s quarter final when ALL FOUR of the show’s judges took part in the opening dance routine.
While they spend every weekend sitting behind a desk passing judgement on celebrities’ dancing techniques, never do we actually get to see the famous four show off their fancy footwork.
They might give us a little twirl each week as the Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman introduce the them at the start of the show, but with all four judges being professionally trained everyone knows they’re capable of so much more.
Imagine the delight of Strictly fans nationwide tonight as the show opened ‘Musicals Week’ with a group dance to a Mamma Mia medley, featuring songs from hit band ABBA, with all four judges taking part alongside the show’s professional dancers and remaining celebrity contestants.
First we saw usually stony-faced Craig Revel-Horwood and Bruno Tonioli (sporting some VERY short shorts, may we add!) showing off their moves, before Darcey Bussell and Shirley Ballas also joined in. And Strictly Come Dancing fans couldn’t get enough…
With just six couples left in the competition, there isn’t much room for mistakes as the final draws closer – and everyone remaining has definitely got their eye on that coveted glitter ball trophy.
By the end of tonight’s episode Faye and Giovanni were at the top of the leaderboard with a perfect score of 40, followed by Ashley and Pasha just below them with a not-too-shabby score of 38.
Down at the bottom were Lauren and AJ alongside Charles and Karen with a matching score of 35.
Find out tomorrow who will be the next couple to leave the competition, and which celebrities are heading into next week’s semi finals.
The Strictly Come Dancing grand final will air on BBC on Saturday 15th December.
