Chef Gary Rhodes has become the third casualty of the sixth series of Strictly Come Dancing, after losing to Mark Foster in the dance-off.
Rhodes – who was partnered with professional dancer Karen Hardy – failed to impress the judges with his jive on Saturday night’s show, and as a result was bottom of the scoreboard with just 18 points.
He also finished last when he made his dancing debut two weeks ago, but on that occasion was saved by the public vote.
Veteran actor Don Warrington had been the bookies’ favourite to leave, but Rhodes became the new favourite after Warrington’s tango was praised by the judges on Saturday.
After the bottom two couples had performed once more, the judges unanimously voted to save Mark and his dance partner Hayley Holt.
Craig Revel Horwood chose the pair “because I saw the dark and smouldering side of the man,” while Bruno opted for “the couple that return with added attack, invigorating and snarling.”
Next week the ladies will return to the floor, performing either a rumba or a quickstep.
