Strictly Come Dancing wins ratings war against The X Factor with almost double the viewers

BBC1’s dance contest Strictly Come Dancing beats X Factor with almost twice as many viewers on Saturday night

It wasn’t only Strictly Come Dancing contestant Ore Oduba who scored high on Staurday night… TV ratings reveals that almost 10 million people were watching Ore do his jive talking, and Ed Balls, dressed as a knight, put a dagger through the heart of his paso doble.

Strictly peaked at 10.8 million viewers, with an average of 9.8 million, which is up from 9.6 million last week.

The X Factor, on the other hand, lost viewers, with its audience averaging at 5.8 million, down from last week’s 6.2 million.

But is this really such a surprise when, on one channel you have almost all the contestants oozing talent and on the other channel you have Honey G?

What do you think?

Strictly Come Dancing results are on BBC1 tonight at 7.15pm.

The X Factor results are on ITV tonight at 8.00pm.
