Strictly Come Dancing judge Arlene Phillips has said she prefers last year’s winner Alesha Dixon, as the current stars gear up for Saturday’s final.
The judge went on to blast S Club 7 star Rachel Stevens, saying she was not a “bubbly, bouncy girl”, unlike Alesha, according to The Sun.
But she did admit that Rachel was just as good a dancer.
Arlene also slated bookies’ favourite, Holby City actor Tom Chambers, describing his over-acting as “off-putting”.
She said: “What’s odd about Tom is, one would think, because he’s an actor, he would know how to portray a dance.
“But we can see him acting the role and that’s off-putting.”
But the tough-talking judge was nice about model and TV presenter Lisa Snowdon, saying she had improved the most and was the most likeable.
But she confessed she had wanted ex-rugby star Austin Healey to win.
Meanwhile, head judge Len Goodman has given his opinion on the last three contestants, who will go head-to-head on BBC1 on Saturday night.
He told GMTV: “Rachel is equally at home with ballroom and latin and Lisa’s ballroom is fantastic, maybe her latin’s just slightly weaker.”
And he described Tom as “the housewives’ choice.”
He added: “There’s no clear winner, it’s just going to be fantastic!”
