Here’s Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood in a rather different role – as a pantomime dame!

The dance expert is starring alongside the Churchill dog in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in Llandudno in December and January and took some time out from rehearsals to talk about Strictly.

Craig said: “I have no idea [who is going to win Strictly]. That’s going to be entirely up to the audience but I think Ali and Ricky are front runners. But people seem to love Chris too so I think he has got an equal chance to be honest.

“There are always plenty of those voted off who should have stayed to the final because the public generally all decide for themselves who they like. No matter what the judges seem to say the public usually get their way.

He added: “There have been people that I really loved every series that go off but there is nothing you can do about that. Martina Hingis for instance was the first out although she was a really lovely dancer. But it’s equally about popularity as how good dancers they are.”

The Strictly judge also spoke about his favourite celebs to dance in the show since it started, naming fellow panelist Alesha as one of the best.

He said: “Alesha was a fantastic, brilliant dancer. Also, Jill Halfpenny was amazing and someone that really came from nowhere which was Mark Ramprakash. I thought he was incredible.”

Talking about Alesha’s controversial new job as a Strictly judge, Craig said: “Alesha Dixon has well and truly settled into her role as a judge. She was sort of in the line of fire last weekend and she handled it really, really well. I thought her comments and critiques were very good.”

Ali Bastian, Ricky Whittle and Chris Hollins are the last celebs left battling it out to be named King or Queen of the dance-floor.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is on at Venue Cymru in Llandudno from 14 December until 3 January.
