The leading man has all the charisma of a stuffed moose. The plot doesn’t hold water. And the combat scenes are about as realistic as a game of paintball. Yet gung-ho action sequel The Marine 4: The Moving Target does deliver a modest quota of B-movie thrills.
Reality TV star turned pro wrestler Mike ‘The Miz’ Mizanin’s marine sergeant hero Jake Carter is now working for a security company but must call on his old military skills when a team of mercenaries target the stroppy corporate whistleblower (Melissa Roxburgh) he has been assigned to protect.
The booby traps he rigs up in the woods take the bad guys by surprise, but we can see every plot twist coming a mile away.
