The Voice knockout rounds are over and Team Will was whittled down to three in a very tight contest.
But, truth be told, as soon as Iesher Haughton started singing you knew she was going to be in will.i.am‘s top three.
Singing Whitney Houston’s Try It On My Own, Iesher gave the best performance of the night.
“She blew me away with the first note I heard from her,” Will said, referring to Iesher’s blind audition.
And she blew him away again.
It wasn’t easy for Iesher, either. She had to follow Jermain Jackman, whose passionate performance of the Luther Vandross hit A House Is Not a Home got a standing ovation from all four judges.
Jermain was Will’s second choice for the live shows.
The third and final member left standing in Team Will is Sophie May Williams, who sang Moon River, by Audrey Hepburn.
“I don’t know why we’ve never heard of Sophie May before now,” said Ricky, clearly impressed by her performance.
Of his final three, Will said: “I wanted uniqueness and that’s what I’ve got.”
