It’s week four of The X Factor’s 2009 live shows, and this week the focus was on rock. Lucie sang Guns n’ Roses 80s classic Sweet Child Of Mine…..
Joe kicked things off with the Journey anthem Don’t Stop Believin’.
Lloyd got his own throne to sing Katie Perry’s I Kissed A Girl.
Not so much I Kissed A Girl as the girls kissed me, Lloyd?
Louis wasn’t too keen on Jamie’s rendition of Primal Scream’s Rocks – but the other judges loved it
Stacey’s performance of Keane’s Somewhere Only We Know proved she could actually move. And sing.
Rachel was hoping her rendition of U2’s One would keep her out of the bottom two.
All eyes were on John and Edward as they roared their way through Queen’s We WIll Rock You. It was memorable, if nothing else….
Once again, the judges appeared lost for words.
Oh well, at least somebody seemed to enjoy it…..
Olly rounded off the show with The Beatles’ song Come Together – and won some of the biggest praise of the night!
Rock legends Bon Jovi were on hand to perform live at the results show.
The show also featured a performance from last year’s runners-up, JLS.
The band performed their new single Everybody In Love.
Lloyd looked shocked to learn that he had survived the public vote.
However a tearful Rachel became the fourth act to leave the series.
There were emotional scenes on stage as Lloyd said his goodbyes to Rachel…..
…..while Dannii tried to comfort the tearful singer, saying she had no idea what “went wrong”.
