Hotel heiress Paris Hilton has reportedly been more or less cut out of the family’s billion-pound hotel empire.

According to the Mirror, her grandfather Barron Hilton is donating 97 per cent of his £1.2billion fortune to the Conrad N Hilton Foundation, set up by his father.

That means the great bulk of his estate will now go to help the homeless and provide clean water in Africa.

Barron’s son Steven, Paris’s uncle and president and CEO of the foundation, said: “Speaking for the family, as well as the foundation, we are all exceedingly proud and grateful for this extraordinary commitment.

“Working to alleviate human suffering around the globe, regardless of race, religion or geography, is the mandate of the foundation set by my grandfather and now reinforced by my father.”

Paris has not commented on the announcement, but to some it’s no surprise that her granddad won’t be leaving her much money in his will.

Hilton biographer Jerry Oppenheimer commented: “Barron Hilton was, and is, extremely embarrassed by how the Hilton name has been sullied by Paris.”

One of Barron’s many grandchildren, Paris found fame in 2003 when her DIY sex video, One Night In Paris, ended up on the internet. And fans shouldn’t be too worried about where her next bottle of Cristal is coming from…

According to the more conservative Forbes Magazine, she earned approximately £1million in 2003-2004, £3.25m in 2004-2005, and £3.57m in 2005-2006.
