This Morning stars Ruth Langsford and Coleen Nolan talk to TV Times magazine about supporting their favourite teams for Euro 2012…

Ruth, you’ll be supporting England, and Coleen, you’ll be supporting the Republic of Ireland in Euro 2012. How do you think your teams will do?
Ruth (pictured): “Well, it’s a new team, a new manager, new hope, so hopefully it will all turn out well for England. And let’s hope we don’t get Germany in a penalty shootout again!”
Coleen: “I think Ireland stand as much chance as anyone else in the competition and there’s always the luck of the Irish that might help too!”

Are you a big football fan?
Coleen: “Yes, I love it!”
Ruth: “Not huge. My husband Eamonn did buy me a Manchester United shirt once because he supports them, but I think it’s still in the bag!”

Where will you be watching the games?
Ruth: “At home with Eamonn, our 10-year-old son Jack and the dog.”
Coleen: “With the family and I might throw the odd party too if it’s a big game.”

Who’s your favourite player?
Coleen: “I love Irish striker Robbie Keane, he’s such a fantastic player.”
Ruth: “I like England goalkeeper Joe Hart. Just don’t tell Eamonn because I know Joe plays for Manchester United’s arch rivals Manchester City!”

Finally, and most importantly, what’s your favourite halftime snack?
Ruth: “Ooh, I love cheesy Doritos – one of the really big bags that makes your fingers go bright orange!”
Coleen: “If it’s lovely weather, I like to have a half-time barbecue. If not then chips and dips always go down well.”
