A troubling incident involving Sylvie sets alarm bells ringing in EastEnders.
Following dementia sufferer Sylvie Carter’s upsetting revelation from the past, daughter Tina continues to struggle with the responsibility of looking after her, and this week a worrying incident brings things to a head.
With no one else to look after Sylvie, Tina is forced to take her to work with her at Kathy Beale’s cafe, where things don’t go well.
Will Tina be persuaded that Sylvie’s condition has deteriorated to the point where she needs professional help to cope?
A dangerous situation develops and Tina has to step in when Sylvie gets her hands on a frying pan in the cafe…
Tina calms her mum and sits her down at a table, where she hopes she won't cause any more problems.
A concerned Kathy tells Tina she thinks she needs professional help with Sylvie, but Tina insists she'll be able to manager her mum by checking on her every hour.
Later in the week, following a worrying incident with Sylvie, Kathy visits Tina at home…
It's clear to Kathy that Tina's not coping and she urges her to get outside help. Will Tina take her advice?
