As the relentless war carries on, Hector tells his parents, King Priam and Queen Hecuba, that it’s time a warrior like him took over the running of Troy. His first decision is to call off the search for Paris, who is missing. Hector does seem to have changed the Trojans’ luck, as he soon gets wind that Achilles has fallen out with King Menelaus and is refusing to fight for the Greeks. Will Hector seize his chance? Rating: ***

Casualty, 8.10pm, BBC1


Ultra-ambitious Bea finally has a chance to shine tonight. No more hanging around, teasing Rash. Instead she’s locked in fierce competition with young doc Eddie McAllister, since both of them are on a training secondment in orthopaedics, and desperate to impress the powers-that-be. With a place on a top International Trauma Course at stake, Eddie’s not afraid to play dirty, and cocky Bea is suddenly out of her depth… Meanwhile, Alicia tries to make amends with Ethan, there’s chemistry between Gem and Rash, and when Ethan rudely rejects Charlie’s fatherly advice, the senior nurse unleashes some harsh home truths. Rating: ****

Below the Surface, from 9.00pm, BBC4

It’s day three of the crisis and one hostage is dead – and the futures of the others look uncertain when a medical emergency leads to a terrifying situation underground. Louise is in the spotlight when the captors call – can she keep her cool? Meanwhile, Philip still suspects that his officially dead enemy is behind it all… Tense and addictive stuff. Rating: ****
