TV Times top picks for tonight

What’s on telly tonight? Here the TV Times team of expert reviewers highlight the best shows on Saturday 3rd November

Killing Eve, 9.25pm, BBC1

Killing Eve final episode

Has Villanelle at last met her match in the final episode of Killing Eve?

Villanelle is on the run with Konstantin’s ‘really annoying’ daughter, who speaks Russian, English, Spanish and Mandarin and is so irritatingly self-assured you wouldn’t put money on her surviving long with the psychopath. What a great series this has been – thrilling, funny, brilliantly written and acted, and fans will be delighted to hear filming on series two has already begun. Rating: *****

Beck: Flesh & Blood, 9pm, BBC4

Beck ep1 - Flesh and Blood shows Kristofer Hivju as Steinar

With the nights drawing in, a welcome return for gloomy Swedish detective Martin Beck. In tonight’s feature-length episode, Beck (Peter Haber, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), has put policing behind him for a quiet life – but it doesn’t take much to get him back in the game when a colleague needs his help in the hunt for a suspected terrorist. Meanwhile, Beck’s replacement, the magnificently bearded Steinar Hovland (Kristofer Hivju, Game of Thrones’ ace Tormund Giantsbane), is investigating a young woman’s disappearance. Could the cases be linked? A satisfying mystery that builds to a nail-biting finale. Rating: ****

The Time It Takes, 5.40pm, BBC1

Comedian Joe Lycett presents this new game show where the contestants choose how much time they have to answer the questions. With This Morning’s Alison Hammond as the referee, three contestants must choose which task they think will take the longest to complete, while they answer as many questions as they can. The tasks are totally daft and completely random, which makes this a fun watch. There’s everything from the time it takes Alison to hang up 11 football shirts, to the time it takes three sausage dogs to travel up some stairs on a stair lift. The contestants are competing for a holiday – and watch out for a special guest in the final round! Rating: ****
