TV Times picks for tonight

What’s on telly tonight? Here the TV Times team of expert reviewers highlight the best shows on Saturday 6th October

Strictly Come Dancing, 6.30pm, BBC1

Hooray for Hollywood, and Alleluia for Aljaž dressed up as a matinee idol (we can only hope). Yes, it’s Movie Week and the couples will be looking to the silver screen for inspiration, as they dazzle us with cinematic numbers. Fingers crossed for a nod to The Greatest Showman! And, lucky us, it’s not just the competitive dances we’ve got to look forward to: the pros will be putting a spell on us, too, as they perform a tribute to the Harry Potter films. Movie Week is always a treat, but rest assured the judges will still have their eyes peeled for footwork slip-ups, and one more couple will be sent home tomorrow night… Rating: *****

Killing Eve, 9.25pm, BBC1

Following last week’s tragedy, secret agent Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh) is in great emotional turmoil, well aware that the stakes are now even higher. Eve knows there’s work to be done, and when intelligence from Berlin reveals there’s a mole within MI5, Eve embarks on her first surveillance operation in the English countryside. Meanwhile, cold-blooded killer Villanelle (Jodie Comer) is also in England, having been sent on a mission to eliminate a member of British Intelligence. Could the target be Eve? With a showdown between the pair imminent, next week’s episode is not to be missed! Rating: ****

My Favourite Sketch, 10pm, GOLD

Comedian and actress Jessica Hynes joins host Sally Phillips on tonight’s comedy trip down memory lane. Jessica presents a great selection of classic clips, including Victoria Wood and Julie Walters’ iconic ‘two soups’ sketch – which never gets old – plus picks on the more surreal side, from The Fast Show and Reeves and Mortimer. If you need more giggles, Jason Manford chooses his favourites in Friday’s edition. Rating: ***

More previews tomorrow.
