After Linda’s revelation that she knocked Micky overboard, we knew that her trip to Spain to identify a body would be eventful, but in this humdinger of a finale, the shocks keep on coming. As Linda arrives in the sun with Gail and Sue, she reveals her motives and the truth about her marriage. But after they attend the identification, the threesome find themselves in a surprising and dangerous situation. Sue soon comes up with a very risky plan to get them out of trouble, but are they brave enough to see it through? These plucky and thoroughly entertaining ladies have really come to feel like our mates so we’re keeping our fingers crossed that we’ll catch up with them again in a second series. Rating: *****

Restaurant Rescue

Alex Polizzi helps revive ailing restaurants, assisted by her brother-in-law, restaurateur Oliver Peyton. The first eatery of the series is Riobello, an Italian in Bedford. For two years the owners, Giovanni and Amanda, haven’t made a profit and it’s put a strain on their relationship. Alex and Oliver need to simplify the menu and spruce up the place. Oh, and save a marriage, so no pressure! Ratings: ****
