TV Times top picks for tonight

What’s on telly tonight? Here the TV Times team of expert reviewers highlight the best shows on Wednesday 7th March

Benidorm, 9.00pm, ITV

It’s not been a great start to married life for Joyce and Monty – as well as a disastrous wedding they’ve missed their plane to Venice for their honeymoon. Kenneth is still missing after trying to swim to save them all, and dodgy dentist Stanley (Nigel Havers) is making himself far too comfortable in Blow and Go. Elsewhere, Sheron doesn’t know if Robert’s new love is a boy or a girl, and Joey returns. Will he still feel the same about Sam? Rating: ***

One Born Every Minute, 9.00pm, C4

The fly-on-the-wall series returns for an 11th run, this time from a new home – Birmingham Women’s Hospital. Samantha and her partner Tony are on the ward. Sadly, they lost their first baby in late pregnancy, so with baby number two about to be born, they are understandably anxious that everything goes to plan. Tonight we also meet Rav and partner Sharon, who have had to battle family prejudice as Rav was considered to be from a lower caste according to Indian tradition. Now, though, with their second child on the way, the family are rallying. Filmed at one of the busiest maternity units in the UK, this promises to be another heart-warming series. Rating: ****

Earth’s Natural Wonders, 9.00pm, BBC1

This series has visited some of the most remote communities on Earth. Tonight, we see how some customs are still being practised today despite them being an extreme risk to life. In Ethiopia, a family make a gruelling five-hour climb to church, and in the Faroes, men scale cliffs to collect prized eggs. Rating: ***
