What’s on telly tonight? Here the TV Times team of expert reviewers highlight the best shows on Thursday 29th November

Kirstie’s Handmade Christmas, 8pm, C4

Before her daily daytime series starts next week, Kirstie Allsopp is getting in the festive spirit with oodles of crafty makes and ideas. From a stunning centrepiece for the Christmas table to retro cocktails and a pudding to impress dinner guests, this is a Christmas cracker of a show full of ideas, tips and tricks. Rating: ****

Gino’s Italian Coastal Escape, 8.30pm (not Wales), ITV

Gino d’Acampo is over half-way through his journey down the Adriatic coast. His first stop today is Gargano National Park, a stunning mountain range home to some of Europe’s oldest trees. It’s also famous for its cheese-making, and Gino has a go at producing a caciocavallo, which the same family has been hand-making for over 400 years. Inspired, he makes an aubergine parmigiana, which looks delicious. Next up is stunning Polignano a Mare, which is the cliff-diving capital of the world. Gino even has a go at jumping off a scary precipice himself before cooking a luxurious lamb stew with orange zest, red wine and olives. Rating: ****

Live at the Apollo, 10pm (times vary), BBC2

Physical frailty seems to be a theme tonight. First up, host Gina Yashere is breathtakingly funny about her sleep apnoea – how come she has a ‘fat disease’ even though she’s lost loads of weight? Next on is Britain’s Got Talent winner Lee Ridley aka Lost Voice Guy, who uses the sort of tech made famous by Stephen Hawking to get around the fact he can’t speak. Ingenious and funny. Plus, Ed Gamble squeezes real lolz from diabetes. Rating: ****
