TOWIE star Lydia Bright got a shock over the weekend when her boutique window was smashed by a teenage boy.
The incident occurred while the TOWIE star was inside the shop with her mother, Debbie, and sister, Georgia, as well as best pal, Lucy Mecklenburgh, who are said to have been filming scenes for the ITV2 show.
The teenager smashed the window from outside before attempting a getaway, but was chased and quickly caught. He had apparently been practising parkour (street acrobatics) when he accidentally backflipped into the window.
According to the Sun, Katie Corcoran who works at Bella Sorrella, admitted: “It was very frightening. The noise of shattering glass. I’ve never heard anything like it.”
Katie added, “Debbie was furious, more because he could have hurt someone. Lydia was really strong — she knew what to do, she was very calm.”
Following the scare, Lydia and her mum both took to Twitter to vent their frustrations: “Unfortunately today @BellaSorella251 was vandalised. The suspect is in custody & the issue is being resolved. Open tomorrow as usual x.”
A police spokesman has assured the residents of Loughton that: “An 18-year-old man was arrested for criminal damage and received a caution.”
