Few film franchises can lay claim to fans as fervent as Star Wars. From conventions to online forums, devotees of George Lucas’ epic space opera have consistently found ways of coming together to show just how strongly they feel the Force. Following the launch of an online project back in 2009, fans from around the world have jointly completed their biggest tribute to date – remaking the first film in the series, 1977’s Star Wars

Star Wars Uncut: A New Hope premiered at the CPH PIX film festival in Copenhagen in April. It is due to be screened at selected cinemas in the US. There are plans to make the film available on the internet and, ultimately, on DVD. We’ll keep you posted!
