Police were reportedly called to the home of Tulisa Contostavlos after the star feared she might be kidnapped.

A 999 call was made from the former X Factor judge’s mansion in Hertfordshire to report two men apparently acting suspiciously outside, sparking fears they were about to break in and kidnap Tulisa, The Sun reported.

Four squad cars and a dog unit were sent to the house where they apprehended two men in a dark-coloured car and questioned them, but confirmed no crime had been committed.

Police then searched the grounds with dogs and torches, before going to the house to give the all-clear.

A Hertfordshire police spokesman said: “We were called at 10.23pm to reports of suspicious behaviour of two men in a vehicle outside a property. Both men were spoken to.

“As a precaution we also searched the area. We were satisfied no crimes had occurred.”

A spokesman for Tulisa declined to comment.
