The X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos has revealed that she would be happy to date one of the contestants on the show – regardless of their background.

The 24-year-old – who was seen flirting with hopeful Sheyi on Saturday night’s series opener – told The Sun that she would not care what they did, as long as the person made her happy.

“If I find someone who’s a good guy that I get along with, I don’t really care what he does, and that goes for anything,” Tulisa said.

“I don’t care if he works in McDonald’s. The one is the one.”

However the N-Dubz singer admitted that she found it hard to meet potential partners within the industry and doubted she would fall for a contestant – adding that even if she did she would wait until the series was finished before making her move.

“I’d never date someone I’m mentoring, or any contestant while the show is on,” she said.

“But if I met a contestant six months down the line that was not in my category, who I just happened to find chemistry with…I’d date anyone who I got along with or who I found date-worthy. Like I said, it doesn’t matter what their job is.”

Meanwhile, Tulisa added that she would be “cracking the whip” this year, and would not tolerate her finalists not working hard.

“They need to have the right attitude. You could have the most talented person standing up there but you see someone who’s got a bad attitude, they’re just gonna go within the early weeks,” she revealed – but added she would still allow them to have fun.

“I make space for playtime,” she said. “I like my acts to enjoy the process, it’s not meant to be like this gruelling military operation.”
