The Voice champion Andrea Begley looks set to crack the top 20 within weeks of her victory – but not with her winner’s single.
The Irish singer’s cover of Sarah McLachlan’s Angel – which she performed on Saturday night’s show – will be Andrea’s first official single, although it has yet to be made available for download.
However according to reports her version of Evanescence’s My Immortal – which she also performed on Saturday – is poised to enter the charts.
Despite her triumph Andrea still has a way to go to outdo fellow finalist Leah McFall in the charts.
Leah – who was the odds-on favourite to win Saturday night’s Voice final ahead of Andrea – could have as many as three of her tracks from the show in the countdown after dominating the iTunes charts.
As well as her cover of I Will Survive – which soared to number eight last weekend – her versions of Whitney Houston’s I Will Always Love You and Roberta Flack’s Killing Me Softly have also entered the charts in the wake of the final.
I Will Always Love You is tipped to land a top 20 place, while Killing Me Softly is currently at number 30.
Fellow finalist Mike Ward has also made three appearances lower down the charts – with his versions of Suspicious Minds, Picking Up The Pieces and When I Was Your Man – all in the top 75.
Meanwhile Matt Henry, who finished fourth, is bottom of the heap with his version of David Gray’s Babylon sitting at number 96.
