The re-imagining of the Planet of the Apes franchise did big business at the cinema box office this summer, and now it’s coming to Blu-ray, DVD and digital download on 12 December with the amazing special feature ‘Breaking Motion Capture Boundaries’.

Both an exciting sci-fi adventure and powerful cautionary tale about messing with nature, Rise of the Planet of the Apes explores how apes got their super-intelligence – a consequence of James Franco’s scientist testing an Alzheimer’s cure on a baby chimpanzee called Caesar. Thanks to the groundbreaking effects technology developed for Avatar and another great primate performance by King Kong‘s Andy Serkis, Rise of the Planet of the Apes is a sci-fi classic in the making.

The new Blu-ray and DVD release is packed with bonus material and behind-the-scenes features and we had four copies of the Blu-ray Triple Play to win, courtesy of Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.

And the lucky winners are Daisy Smith who wants to see When Worlds Collide get remade, Scott Prentice for 2001: A Space Odyssey, Jessica Sjoholm for ET updated (a popular choice that one was) and Gareth Drake for Condorman.
