Cracking legal thriller The Lincoln Lawyer stars Matthew McConaughey as Mick Haller, a slick Los Angeles lawyer who works from the back of a Lincoln car and usually defends low-life criminals. He steps into a different league, however, when his reputation for getting his clients off the hook lands him the case of Louis Roulet (Ryan Phillippe), a smooth Beverly Hills rich boy accused of badly beating a prostitute. Backed by evidence from his investigator (William H Macy), Haller first thinks Roulet’s as innocent as he claims, but there’s much more to the case than first meets the eye…
