The X Factor’s final 24 acts have been revealed following a second show of nail-biting boot camp action.
This year’s hopefuls faced a fiendish new twist which saw them having to perform in a bid to win one of six seats on the stage, each representing a place at judges’ houses.
However winning a seat did not guarantee a place – with a number of hopefuls losing theirs to rival performers.
Sunday’s show saw Sharon Osbourne complete her over 25s category – with heartbreak for performers Sabrina Rimikie and Katie Markham as they lost their places to Lorna Simpson and Zoe Devlin.
Meanwhile vocal act Tenors Of Rock lost their place in the top six groups after a girl group formed by Gary Barlow from bootcamp rejects – including Jeanette Akua and Dynamix singer SeeSee – wowed the judges at their audition.
In the boys category there was disappointment for Alejandro Fernandez Holt after he won a seat, then promptly lost it to Scottish teenager Nicholas McDonald.
Next weekend’s X Factor will see the 24 acts perform at the judges’ houses in a bid to win a place in the live finals.
Louis Walsh will take the boys to St Tropez, Nicole Scherzinger’s girls will travel to Antigua, Gary Barlow will be joined by the groups in New York City and Sharon Osbourne’s over 25s will journey to Los Angeles.
The 24 semi-final acts are as follows:
BOYS (Louis Walsh)
GIRLS (Nicole Scherzinger)
GROUPS (Gary Barlow)
Unnamed girl group
OVER 25s (Sharon Osbourne)
