X Factor reject Zoe Alexander caused a storm at the Cardiff auditions by throwing her microphone at the judges and striking a producer.

The unsuccessful 22-year-old from Wales was left reeling when judges labeled her audition ‘average’. According to The Mirror, a show insider said: “I’ve never seen a reaction like it on the show.”

The source added: “She threw the mic and her language was bad enough, but she struck out at cameras and the producer.”

Following the incident, Zoe stormed off the stage before returning with her father to slam the panel. The girl was quickly escorted off stage, pushing Dermot O’Leary’s camera out of her way as well as a female producer.

The producer was said to have needed an ice pack on her nose, but Zoe’s father, Glen insists: “Zoe gave her a push, not a punch.”

Zoe says she feels like she was ‘set up’ by X Factor bosses. “They wanted a girl with attitude and that’s what they got.’”

Her father, Glen Smith, revealed: “They even chose the song for her, but then the judges all gave her a ‘no.'”

Zoe later apologised and said: “I lost it… I want to apologise to the judges and to the audience – but they set me up to humiliate me.”
