X Factor winner Alexandra Burke has spent a second week at the top of the UK charts with her debut single Hallelujah.

The 20-year-old – who was crowned the winner of the 2008 series earlier this month – scored this year’s Christmas chart-topper with the track, a cover of the Leonard Cohen song.

Jeff Buckley‘s version of the song received a boost in the wake of Alexandra’s version and entered last week’s charts at number two – but this week has dropped to number seven.

However, former X Factor champion Leona Lewis has replaced him in the runners-up position with her single Run, a cover of the Snow Patrol hit. Lewis is also number one in the album charts with Spirit.

As well as having the Christmas number one, Alexandra also became the fastest selling female artist ever following the release of the track, which sold 576,000 copies in its first week.
