Footballers’ Wives star Zoe Lucker is apparently in talks to take part in Strictly Come Dancing.

The 35-year-old actress, who played bitchy Tanya Turner in the racy ITV1 drama, hopes the hit BBC reality show will boost her career, according to The Sun.

An insider said: “Zoe’s really keen to sign up for Strictly. Over the years she’s seen how being on the show has raised profiles of the celebrities who’ve taken part, such as Alesha Dixon and Rachel Stevens.

Zoe most recently played Pc Kate Keenan in Holby Blue before the BBC1 drama was axed last year.

The source added: “She feels that she’s still only really known for her part in Footballers’ Wives, which ended more than three years ago.

“Zoe’s looking for new challenges and thinks this could be her big break.”

EastEnders’ star Kara Tointon, who plays Dawn Swann in the BBC soap, and former Albert Square favourite Natalie Cassidy (Sonia Fowler) have also been tipped to appear in Strictly, when the new series kicks off next month.

Reece Dinsdale, Coronation Street’s Joe McIntyre, is also rumoured to be taking part.
