DS Max Carter and DC Mickey Webb have an agonising decision to make when they are offered cocaine in a club owned by a notorious drug baron.
They are in the club because Mickey has been approached by a known drug dealer, Jimmy Ferrier, who wants the Sun Hill team to investigate his brother’s suspicious death.
Jimmy tells Mickey and Max that his brother, Mitch, had been followed for weeks before being knocked off his bike and killed.
Jimmy proceeds to play the cops a voicemail he received from Mitch…
…who sounds panic-stricken and convinced that someone is out to get him.
With the team having agreed to look into Mitch’s death, Jimmy attends his brother’s funeral, along with Mickey and Max.
The coppers grow suspicious when another well-known drug dealer, Ryan Lacey, turns up to pay his respects to the dead man.
Max begins to wonder why on earth Lacey should be there.
Could he be somehow linked to the death of Jimmy’s brother?
When Mitch’s café is ransacked, the Sun Hill team go to investigate…
…and Max is puzzled when a waitress goes to open the safe and finds the combination has been changed.
Manson and the team persuade Jimmy to meet Lacey at his club and confront him about Mitch’s death. Max and Mickey wait outside, listening in to the conversation which is being recorded.
The pair are spotted outside, however, and Lacey gets an accomplice to approach them. Max and Mickey insist they are friends of Jimmy’s. But, once inside the club, will Jimmy inadvertently blow the cops’ cover?
Lacey insists he has nothing to do with Mitch’s death – but Mickey and Max are suddenly presented with an appalling dilemma…
Lacey produces some cocaine and offers some to the cops – will they jeopardise their careers by accepting it, or risk blowing their cover? Find out on The Bill on Thursday, 15 April (not STV).
