The case began last week when PCs Leon Taylor and Ben Gayle were called to a woodland area where a young boy’s body has been discovered.

The body is quickly identified as that of missing youngster Matty Wallace. While investigating the case, DS Max Carter discovers the boy’s stepdad, Craig Gant, has links to known criminals and puts him under surveillance at Matty’s funeral.

When Neil finds out, he lays into Grace, furious that he wasn’t told about the operation. He then warns her that her position of Family Liaison Officer is under threat.

Grace then accuses Neil of being distracted, telling him his lack of
