DC Grace Dasari is forced to reopen the case of a missing woman when she follows a lead to a brothel in Soho.
Grace is shocked to find the missing woman’s sister holding a man at knife-point!
The armed woman, Kathy Merrill, screams that she reported her sister, Lisa, missing six months ago.
Kathy tells Grace she went undercover to find her sister after discovering Lisa was a prostitute.
The anxious cop tries to persuade Kathy to put down the knife…
But Kathy insists that the man she has tied to the chair, Martin Taft,
was an obsessed client of Lisa’s and she believes he knows what
happened to her.
Grace promises to reopen the investigation if Kathy releases Martin.
But Kathy also blames Grace for not finding her sister after such a long time.
Grace eventually talks Kathy down and she releases a terrified Martin.
As Kathy is led away, Grace says she will formally reopen the case, starting with an investigation into Martin’s relationship with Lisa.
After discovering a body in an area of woodland that Lisa liked to visit, Grace and DC Jo Masters visit Kathy and her father Steve.
Steve and Kathy are devastated to identify Lisa’s belongings.
The evidence points towards Martin, but futher investigations reveal that Lisa was having an affair with her school teacher, Brendan Newlyn, and he’s brought in for questioning.
Brendan admits to the affair – and leaving Lisa alone in the woods the night she died. But did he kill her? Find out in The Bill on Thursday, 10 December, on ITV1.
